MOBIL 1 RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP MASTERS 2021

The first ever Mobil 1 Rally Championship Masters edition!

The Event is based on the real life FIA Hillclimb Masters event which is held every two (2) years, so should be the case here as well. It is very unique, nothing similar has been held yet in the game! The Event regulations are very similar to the Hillclimb Masters one, but not literally the same.

What both real life Masters and this event have in common is:

   • Both events are obviously unique.
   • The Event is held on a shorter stage. In RC2K - technically it can be any stage outside Vauxhall/Pirelli/RSAC Rally. (Yair could be an exception in the future)
This year it will be held on Moon and Star, a SEAT Jim Clark Memorial Rally stage.
   • Hillclimb Masters features Nations Cup. Mobil 1 Rally Championship Masters 2021 will feature Nations Cup as well.

The real life Masters is run over a maximum of three (3) race heats.

Mobil 1 Rally Championship Masters 2021 drivers are free to run an infinite amount of heats, only the top (fastest and clean) three (3) heats are submitted.

Strict clean driving rules are enforced. (thoroughly explained below)

In case one of the submitted top three (3) heats break any of the clean driving rules - the heat is disqualified and the next fastest heat is submitted for the final results. (in this case: 4th fastest heat, this is also why every replay should be saved)

Top three clean heats are eligible for the final results.

RESULTS

There will be two (2) Mobil 1 Rally Championship Masters 2021 leaderboards:
INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD and NATIONS CUP LEADERBOARD.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD

   • Drivers' three (3) submitted (and verified) heats are added together. The fastest cumulative time is the winner.

NATIONS CUP LEADERBOARD

   • Each Nation is represented by at least two (2) drivers.
   • In case a driver does not have a teammate of his Nation - he will be joined with an other driver without a teammate. PT&BR should be joined, Slavic countries as well. (Territorial and/or lingual Criteria is applied)
   • Exceptions, such as if Territorial and/or lingual Criteria is not applicable, means that drivers who cannot be joined by The Criteria can ultimately be joined together. Merged "nation" will be registered as "Other" in the Nations Cup Leaderboard.

The ranking criteria for the Nations Cup Leaderboard is not the usual one.

Consistency is rewarded here.
Only two (2) fastest drivers of each Nation are eligible for the Nations Cup Leaderboard.
Two (2) most regular heats (with the smallest time difference) are taken for the results. The time difference between the two (2) heats is calculated and added together to give the final Nation score.

Example:

CROATIA 1st: 03:00.00 03:02.15 03:00.98

As can be seen, the smallest time difference is between 03:00.00 and 03:00.98, which means 03:02.15 is dropped from any further calculations.
The difference between the two eligible runs is 0.98, and that is CROATIA driver #1 result.

CROATIA 2nd: 03:07.16 03:07.00 03:02.60
As can be seen, the smallest time difference is between 03:07.16 and 03:07.00, which means 03:02.60 is dropped from any further calculations.
The difference between the two eligible runs is 0.16, and that is CROATIA driver #2 result.

CROATIA 3rd: 03:10.00 03:15:00 03:13.00
As only two (2) fastest drivers' results count for the Nations Cup Leaderboard, this driver's (and all the drivers' below him) results are NOT eligible for the Nations Cup, hence his/their time differences are not counted for anything.

CROATIA Nations Cup score is 0.98+0.16, which is 1.14.

Nation with the lowest Nations Cup score is the winner.

EVENT RULES

Just like at the real life Masters - the rules are very strict. Considering the fact that participants are given an infinite number of attempts – the rules should not be taken as „intimidating“.

   • The race is taken in simulation (uphill) direction.
   • The Event is held in time trial mode.
   • A8 cars only will be used for The Event. Generally, participants are allowed to select any A8 car they want. A selected group of participants will be banned from using the most powerful A8 cars. (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V, Peugeot 206, Subaru Impreza)
   • Any car setup, any transmission mode, any camera view, any HUD is allowed. It goes without saying that ral.cfg modifications are forbidden.
   • Maximum clean driving.
   • „4 wheels off“ is an instant heat DSQ. „3 wheels off“ will be judged by the stewards. Note that „2 wheels off“ is completely allowed.


   • Video replays of three (3) submitted heats are MANDATORY (either as the game replay files or public (YouTube or such) videos).
Saving all the replays is recommended (as it is impossible to tell the fastest three (3) heats in advance; also, there are many replay slots available, no excuse not to save the replays). Once the participant is finished - he submits three (3) replays. Those three (3) replays are three (3) fastest heats which do not break any clean driving rules. Participants are advised not to submit obvious rule-breaking heats, for the sake of their and stewards' time.

   • Taking a screenshot of the Moon and Star Time Trial Leaderboard.


The results will be published as soon as all the replays have been checked and the results have been calculated. This could take up to three (3) days.

Please be aware that this Event is plainly more complex than the giant annual A8 Championship Event, and it will take some time to verify all the submitted runs and process all the data.
